Precision, held
to the light.
StyleLite is the surface for luxury kitchen and bathroom storage, bespoke furniture and feature panels — an acrylic-faced panel system with TruColor Advanced Multilayer UV Barrier Technology, made for cabinet makers, builders, architects and homeowners who care how a finish resolves.

Two finishes,
one system.
TruGloss delivers a mirror-depth acrylic face that can be polished back if it is ever marked — a repairable surface, not a disposable one. TruMatte is a fingerprint-resistant, low-sheen face at 5–6H pencil hardness, the harder of the two.
Both are laminated front and back to the substrate using EGR's polyurethane (PUR) hot-melt bonding system, giving a balanced, double-sided panel that stays flat.

TruColor reduces
fading over time.
StyleLite is built in three layers. A clear acrylic cap carries the UV barrier, a pigment layer holds the colour, and an ABS backing gives the panel its body and bond. The barrier sits above the pigment — so the light is stopped before it reaches the colour.
Measured, not
asserted.
Scratch resistance can be measured several ways — Erichsen, EN, ISO. For interior decorative finishes we use pencil hardness to ASTM D3363, because it maps most directly to real-world performance. Graded graphite pencils are pushed across the surface at 45° under a specified downforce; the hardness is the hardest pencil that leaves no mark. All results below are for face materials bonded to MDF with PUR reactive hot-melt.
| Brand | Finish | Polymer type | Pencil hardness |
|---|---|---|---|
| StyleLite | TruGloss | Acrylic capped ABS | 4H |
| StyleLite | TruMatte | Acrylic capped ABS | 5 – 6H |
| TruNatur | Matte | Nano-coated polyolefin | 5 – 6H |
| StyleLex | Textured | Weatherproof polymer | 5 – 6H |

What people
ask us.
Can StyleLite TruGloss be used in a bathroom?
Yes. StyleLite is made for kitchen and bathroom storage, including vanity doors. Standard panels use moisture-resistant MDF, which is not a waterproof core. Where water exposure is a real risk, use StyleLite TruMatte on a waterproof composite core. It is sold as StyleLite Waterproof in Australia and StyleLite MPP in the US.
What is the difference between StyleLite TruGloss and TruMatte?
TruGloss is a mirror-depth acrylic face that can be polished back if it is marked. TruMatte is a fingerprint-resistant, low-sheen face and the harder of the two, at 5–6H pencil hardness against 4H for TruGloss. Both are laminated front and back with PUR hot-melt for a balanced panel.
Can scratches on StyleLite be repaired?
Only on TruGloss. Marks and light scratches can be polished out, and low-speed buffing also works on gloss sheet and panels. TruMatte cannot be refinished if damaged, so a damaged TruMatte panel must be replaced.
Can StyleLite be used outdoors?
No. Standard StyleLite panels are built for indoor use. For covered outdoor cabinetry, EGR makes StyleLex, which is not intended for fully exposed, unroofed installations. In the US, StyleLite MPP is made for interior and covered exterior use.
Can StyleLite be used as a benchtop?
No. StyleLite is designed for vertical surfaces such as doors, drawer fronts, end panels and cladding. EGR's installation guide limits StyleLite laminated to MDF to interior vertical applications, and the warranty excludes horizontal surface use.
What formaldehyde rating does StyleLite MDF have?
StyleLite standard panels use moisture-resistant MDF rated to formaldehyde emissions standard E0 and TSCA Title VI. Australian MR MDF and particleboard panels are listed as E0. US tables list the ¼" panels and ¾" carcass as TSCA Title VI, and the ⅝" and ¾" panels as E0.
