Smart Nano is a hard-wearing finish that lifts the physical properties of the decor surface well beyond a standard foil — and it carries an antiviral and antibacterial agent. Viruses and bacteria that contact the surface meet the agent, and their activity is rendered harmless. The SIAA mark is awarded to products evaluated under ISO 22196.

What is TruNatur made of?
TruNatur is a polymer veneer panel. A non-PVC polyolefin decor film with a lifelike grain print and emboss is bonded to the substrate with PUR hot-melt. A Smart Nano coat on top adds wear resistance and anti-fingerprint and antibacterial properties.
Is TruNatur antibacterial?
Yes. The surface carries an antibacterial agent, and TruNatur carries the SIAA mark, given to products evaluated under ISO 22196. EGR's data sheets report over 99% reduction in E. coli and S. aureus growth within 24 hours, tested to ISO 22196 and JIS Z 2801.
Can TruNatur be used in bathrooms and laundries?
Yes. Bathrooms are on TruNatur's published list of uses. For flood-prone or high-moisture rooms, TruNatur Waterproof puts the same face on a weatherproof composite core. It withstands full submersion for up to 7 days with no change, under EGR's method, and is for indoor use only.
Can TruNatur be used outdoors?
No. TruNatur is designed for indoor use and should never be used outdoors. For a covered outdoor kitchen, StyleLex has matching woodgrains: TruNatur Cinnamon Teak pairs with StyleLex Teakwood, and Classic Walnut pairs with Southern Walnut.
Can TruNatur be used for shelves?
Yes, for light-duty horizontal uses such as floating shelves. It is not suited to high-impact or high-traffic surfaces such as benchtops, countertops or tables.
Is TruNatur GreenTag certified?
Yes. TruNatur holds a Global GreenTag Platinum Health rating. EGR's fabrication guide notes the GreenTag PHD PlatinumHEALTH rating is recognised by WELL and LEED.
