Can I use it there?
The evidence, in one place.

Under NCC 2022 Volume One, clause C2D11 exempts joinery units, cupboards and shelving from the fire hazard property requirements for linings. Cabinet doors and carcasses used as joinery generally need no group number.

Used as a wall or ceiling lining, a panel needs a group number tested to AS 5637.1 (NCC Specification 7). The group required depends on the building class and where the lining is. Ask us for the test report for the product and substrate you intend to use.

StyleLex is made for covered outdoor areas — alfresco kitchens and joinery under a roofline — not fully exposed installations. Where joinery sits on or near an external wall, the NCC’s external wall provisions may apply; confirm with your building surveyor.

Each data sheet states the board’s emissions class. Global GreenTag certificates for StyleLite and TruNatur are in the library below; for Green Star, ask us for the product-specific evidence your credit needs.
